The 4th Annual Ride for Rachel House was Saturday- June 27, 2009.
HOT was the Day but COOL was the Ride, as a hundred bikes traversed the beautiful Missouri countryside.
Starting from The Rachel House office in the Northland and heading south and then east, Riders from north of the River then led the Ride north and west to lunch at Cornerstone Bible Church next to KCI.
Meanwhile the Riders leaving from the Rachel House office in Lee’s Summit had a good bit of riding ahead to cross the River and head through Liberty then west to the lunch stop.
Met at lunch by a host of volunteers and well wishers, the riders were ready for the cold water, A/C and shade of Cornerstone Bible Church. Free Lunch, Prizes and Live Music by Junior and the Brickers also greeted the large band of bikers.
A one hour lunch stop and then back out on the bikes to explore the hilly, twisty roadways north to Platte City and points east.
Another quick and much needed ice cold water and A/C break in Liberty at 2nd Baptist Church made the dash to the Ride’s End ‘over the River and back through the woods’ to Blue Springs all the more comfortable.
Arriving at the Rachel House office in Blue Springs, Riders were met by a large group of volunteers and friends enjoying the live music and Sheridan’s frozen custard desserts.
A great day to ride and an even greater cause to ride for.
The Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers want to Thank all of our Riders, Sponsors and Friends for their generosity for this event and support throughout the year.
